When it comes to getting your CDL at no cost there are tons of options out there, but you should know that none of them are ‘free’ in the sense that you get them for nothing. Free CDL school offers always have some level of commitment required to the company sponsoring your free CDL training. Think of it more like an NFL athlete who gets a signing bonus, if he ends up quitting on the team before the season starts he loses the bonus. Most companies require you to work for them for a certain amount of time before they waive your tuition costs.
It depends on how long you are required to stick with that particular company. If they ask you for less than a 12 month commitment I’d say that is a pretty good deal considering most tuition costs for a CDL are between $3,000 and $6,000 not including travel to and from or room and board. The biggest issue is making sure the company you get your ‘Zero Cost CDL’ from has a guaranteed job offer waiting for you. Otherwise it would be a very bad deal.
The first thing you need to do is apply by clicking on any of the ‘Apply Today’ buttons you see on this page. After taking 20 minutes or so to complete the application you will be contacted by a Recruiter who will conduct a phone interview. If you are enrolled in school you will be booked into a 17 day CDL school during which you will get in the truck and in the classroom experience so that you can pass your CDL test. Once you pass you will be offered a job with C.R. England so you can start your new career.
*Zero Out-of-Pocket CDL-A Training at one of C.R. England Premier Truck Driving Schools is provided for eligible driver that commit to and complete a twelve month employment contract with C.R.
