Pay Disclaimer

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER AND EXPLANATORY INFORMATION

You have linked to this disclaimer and information page from a C.R. England job board posting, CareerTrak page, other company site, announcement, advertisement, or other company communication. The job information and data provided on any of those sites or in any of those communications are for informational purposes only, are based in whole or in part on estimates, and do not represent any type of promise or prediction of future pay, performance, or employment. Actual pay, miles, and home time will vary depending on individual factors and circumstances, and all of the information and data contained on any C.R. England job board posting or CareerTrak page, other company site, announcement, advertisement, or other company communication, is subject to change without notice. Individual driver results will vary depending on many factors, including but not limited to, tenured-based pay rates, fleet assignment, how much a driver works, how many miles a driver drives, company performance, driver performance, and jurisdictional considerations. PAST PERFORMANCE AND THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON ANY C.R. ENGLAND JOB BOARD POSTING, CAREERTRAK PAGE, OTHER COMPANY SITE, ANNOUNCEMENT, ADVERTIMESMENT, OR OTHER COMPANY COMMUNICATION, ARE NO GUARANTEE OF FUTURE PAY RESULTS, REVENUE, MILES, OR HOME TIME. ANY AMOUNTS IN ANY CATEGORIES ON ANY OF THOSE SITES OR IN ANY OF THOSE COMMUNICATIONS WILL NOT REFLECT ACTUAL FUTURE RESULTS. If a driver is or becomes employed by C.R. England and is assigned to a fleet, the fleet will have a set of Driver Understandings specific to that fleet. With the exception of this Disclaimer and the Driver Employee Policy Manual, to the extent there is any difference between the information and data contained in the applicable Driver Understandings and the information and data contained elsewhere, the Driver Understandings shall generally govern. Drivers are responsible for reviewing and following their respective fleets’ Driver Understandings as updated. Because precise rate of pay can be difficult to guarantee in various pay structures common in the transportation industry, drivers are only guaranteed applicable minimum wage for hours worked in a given pay period, regardless of whether the driver’s overall pay is determined through a mileage, ring, base plus bonus, availability, or revenue sharing methodology. Pay data, representations, and information are based on aggregated snapshots of actual pay and may include an adjustment for any pay increases or augmentations that may have occurred since the time of the actual pay snapshots.

Additional Detail about Availability Pay:

To be eligible for availability pay during Phase I, you will have to be assigned to a truck, deemed available for work during specified time-frames (as determined solely by the Company and subject to change at the Company’s sole discretion), and not be given sufficient load assignments during that time-frame to surpass the availability pay allotment.

Availability pay recognizes your availability to work but lack of load assignments during specified time-frames after placement on a truck.  The determination of availability for purposes of this program is at the sole discretion of the Company.  This method of compensation and corresponding pay allotment are not a guarantee of specific wages on any pay check, not a promise of a certain rate of pay, not a reflection of hours worked during any pay period, and not an indication of being on call or on standby. Moreover, any compensation based on availability shall not be used as the basis for the accrual of any benefits or leave time.  The calculation and amount of availability compensation varies depending on your state of employment as well as your tenure.  All amounts of availability pay offered by the Company at any time reflect potential gross, not net pay.  Drivers are not eligible for availability pay and/or any guaranteed pay based on availability after Phase 1.

Additional Detail about Mentoring Period Calculations:

The Mentoring period generally consists of a minimum number of hours behind the wheel, which takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete. The estimate of average pay in Mentoring is based on full-time weeks for drivers who were in Mentoring as of the weeks of pay from January 2023 to December 2023, with a potential adjustment for any pay increases or augmentations that may have occurred during or since that period.

Additional Detail about Phase 2 Calculations:

The Phase 2 weekly pay estimates are based on average pay for full-time weeks of National & Regional Phase 2 drivers after upgrade from Mentoring (excluding experienced hires) from January 2023 to December 2023 with a potential adjustment for any pay increases or augmentations that may have occurred during or since that period.

Additional Detail about Calculations for Drivers between Phase 2 and 1 year Experience:

The pay estimates for drivers between Phase 2 and 1 year experience are based on average pay for full-time weeks of National & Regional drivers (excluding experienced hires) who were in Phase 2 as of the weeks of pay from January 2023 to December 2023, with a potential adjustment for any pay increases or augmentations that may have occurred during or since that period.

Additional Detail about data for Drivers with 1+ year of Experience:

The pay estimates for drivers with 1+ year of experience are based on average employee driver pay between January 2023 to December 2023 for core drivers who have either completed Mentoring and Phase 2 with C.R. England or who came to C.R. England as an experienced driver and, in either scenario, have been employed with C.R. England for at least 1 year. The pay data and information are aggregated snapshots and may have an adjustment for any pay increases or augmentations that may have occurred during or since the referenced dates. Pay estimates are also based on full-time drivers with at least 1 year experience with C.R. England at the time of pay. Local drivers are excluded from the National & Regional averages.

All Job Data and information are based on Full-time Drivers:

Full-time weeks are defined as 30 or more hours in a pay period. Outliers, defined as anything outside of 2 standard deviations from the average, are excluded. Pay periods without dispatched miles are excluded. Your actual pay will vary from these estimates depending on many factors, which may include tenure-based pay rates, your fleet, how hard you work, and how much you drive, among other factors. Similarly, any mileage or home time estimates are based on full-time driving situations and will vary per individual driver. Some pay estimates only include the top 10% of drivers in certain categories. See additional disclaimers above.

Additional Detail about Effective Pay Per Mile and Pay Comparisons:

Effective Pay Per Mile is calculated by dividing total gross income by miles in the pay periods included. Miles are defined as Rand McNally short miles between origin and destination locations. All pay discussed here or on other company sites reflects gross pay unless specifically stated otherwise.  Industry pay “average” reflects median pay based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2022 Edition, for Heavy and Tractor-trailer Truck Drivers, which is located on the internet at https://www.bls.gov/ooh/transportation-and-material-moving/heavy-and-tractor-trailer-truck-drivers.htm.

New York City Residents:

The “Average Weekly” and “Top 10% Weekly” salary ranges listed in the company’s driver job postings represents C.R. England’s good faith estimate of weekly pay ranges drivers can expect to earn, subject to the provisions of this Pay Disclaimer, in accordance with the New York City Salary Transparency law. The salary ranges posted in the company’s NYC job postings are not intended to be open-ended, and do not include non-salary forms of compensation or benefits. Salary is posted on an average weekly basis, rather than an annual basis, due to the potential of weekly fluctuation and in accordance with industry standards. The actual weekly salary earned by drivers is dependent on a number of factors explained herein and in the company’s driver employee policy manual. There is no guaranteed minimum salary, other than federal, state or local minimum wage.
